The lights are very bright, no problem there. But when mounting them on a horizontal surface, the middle light doesn't rotate up far enough to be very useful. It also blocks the sensor from seeing out very far. The two outside lights can be rotated farther up if you want the lights to cover a longer distance. The middle light is pointing down at approximately a 45 degree angle, and the sensor is below it, so it isn't as useful as it should be. When mounted on a vertical surface these would probably work great!We have a raccoon that comes by almost every night, and these motion detectors don't detect it. So I'm not sure that they're sensitive enough, or it could be because they are pointed down so low because of the middle light not rotating up high enough.
