It's not worth it. Defective and dangerous!

The first lock was defective and the thumb lock stuck and clicked every time I tried to lock it. I only noticed when I was about to replace it with a replacement lock that the batteries were overheating... Replaced with the 2nd lock I ordered and the batteries started overheating and melting inside the lock. I burned my thumb trying to get the batteries out of the lock. I even got battery acid in my face... Great way to celebrate Labor Day! I would keep my distance! When I decided on a signature brand, I had to stick to what I originally wanted. Don't skimp when safety comes at a price! I'm the carpenters' union and recommend staying away!
