I even had trouble adjusting it, plus it was too heavy for me as a senior. I thought I researched the size, weight and how it works but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I have an 8 pound older (almost 11) Shih Tzu who has been using a playpen since he came home with us. He is very stubborn. I don't need a cage, but I'm in the process of downsizing (I'm a senior too) and thought I might be able to find something smaller than Rocky's baby pen. I returned it. The reason for my 4 stars is that I found the assembly too difficult for me.
