I had reservations. My experience with coffee that wasn't picked up at a local coffee shop was with Keruig at my place of work, Standard drip coffee, and my brief rendezvous with a French Press, which I ended up knocking over and smashing on the kitchen floor (my fault, though) A Google search for "Best "Recommended French Press” brought up many comments pour- Touting over-techniques, but I'm not a fan of careful culinary experimentation, what then caught my attention was a comment that mentioned the Clever Coffee Dripper, explaining that it was the best option for both French press and pour-over, without the exact methods that seemed required are suitable for dousing Other comments and reviews have selected similar opinions And for the price (plus I didn't have to buy many other things, just a grinder and coffee beans) I decided to give it a try. I'm very glad I did. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and the amount is perfect for a standard coffee mug (and even fills my work thermos well enough without having to make a second cup unless I really want to refill it). It doesn't require much fuss on my part, which I like since I usually make my coffee right before I go to work. My method (which I'll list at the end of this review) has produced a cup of coffee far superior to anything I've tried before. Time will tell if the quality will hold up as other reviews say the support legs break easier than I would like. But overall I am very happy with my purchase and have no hesitation in recommending it. My Method: Grind 18g to 22g of beans (medium grind seems to work best) Insert a pop filter into the Clever Coffee Dripper. Pour 350ml of water into a kettle. . Rinse the filter and Smart Coffee Dripper with warm water while the water in the kettle is boiling. Pouring Coffee. Pour enough hot water to wet the coffee, wait about 30 seconds while looking for that mysterious bloom. Remain confused as to what "blossom" really means. Pour in the rest of the water. Cover the lid. Leave it for 5 minutes while I put the lunch items in the work bag. Pour into a mug or thermos. Discard the filter and place the coffee grounds in a dish rack to dry.
