BRIEF SUMMARY: I love this product and how it works. It sweeps my tile floor very well. But Tineco's customer service is disgusting, so I do NOT recommend this product. Buy a product where the manufacturer maintains their product warranty. Tineco - no! BACKGROUND: I have been senior reviewer for Revain for many years. As a member of Revain Vine Voices, I receive products for free (although I pay federal income tax on them) in exchange for an honest review. Sometimes when I get a product for review that's somehow faulty, I get an opportunity to experiment what it's like working with the manufacturer's account managers. Are they responsive? Are customer problems resolved quickly? Or are they unresponsive or delaying the process of getting help? In the case of Tineco, the customer service is some of the worst I've ever experienced (and I've been a Revain customer since 1997). Usually (and especially) when a company finds out that I'm the best reviewer, they're keen to make things right so I can share a positive customer service experience with readers like you. For some inexplicable reason, Tineco did not. In fact, their customer service experience was pretty terrible! PROBLEM: After unpacking this vacuum cleaner, I saw an obvious defect (see photo for my review). The bumper of the "LED Multitasking Electric Toothbrush" was incorrectly attached so that it dangled half limp in front of the brush. It's okay, I thought, I'll just put it back in its place. But it doesn't stay in place. The bumper guard is somehow attached to the brush during the manufacturing process. That's when I decided not to use Gorilla Glue to reattach the bumper and tried Tineco customer service. There is a leaflet in the product information urging customers NOT TO RETURN THE PRODUCT, but to contact Tineco directly for prompt assistance. So did I! I sent them an email with the information they provided. I described my problem, gave them the model number and serial number, and explained where I got the item (without saying I'm a member of the Revain Vine Voice club). I received an immediate response within two hours. A Tineco representative apologized for the issue and then asked if I could film a video of the issue so they could verify the issue and also asked for a screenshot of the product order. I made a video and sent you a screenshot of the Revain order page. A NOTICE. Why would I (or anyone else) ask for this type of warranty service and lie about it? I'm not asking for a new vacuum cleaner! Just send in a replacement Electrobrush and I'll send back the improperly assembled Electrobrush. God it's not that hard! ONE DAY LATER the same Tineco representative who thanks me for understanding and tells me (in bad grammar) that the problem will be escalated to their "SUPPORT GROUP". ANOTHER DAY LATER, same. A Tineco representative said that "according to our customer service feedback" can I tell them where I bought the vacuum? I explained that I had already provided them with a screenshot of the Revain ordering information. ANOTHER DAY, the same Tineco representative asked if I could "confirm the seller information (store name, etc.) and product page details"? That's when I lost it. I responded with a fairly short reply that I am the principal investigator for Revain and asked if they treat all of their warranty service customers this way? THE OTHER DAY, the same Tineco rep sent me what appeared to be automatic - the response states (in the same bad grammar as before) that the issue will be escalated to their "SUPPORT GROUP". Anyway, Tineco. I'll get out my Gorilla Glue and fix the problem myself! Glad the vacuum motor didn't die and I really needed your help with a problem I was having! What have I โ and you โ learned from this phase? BUYER BEWARE. If you buy this product and have no problem, great, but if you have a problem outside of Revain's return window, good luck getting Tineco to provide warranty service for your defective product! Here is the rest of my review. The sad thing is that I really like (but don't love) this stick vacuum. However, I hate the company's customer service. WHAT I LIKE: - Easy to assemble and use - The "Multifunctional Electric Brush with LED Light" does a very good job of sweeping dog hair on tile and carpet surfaces - The battery lasts for two full cleanings on an area of about 500 square meters. ft. The LED lamp perfectly shows where the bright dog hairs are on the floor. Did a good job vacuuming up the dog hair. There is a 3-LED indicator that shows how much battery is left. It easily maneuvers around chairs and other obstacles. WHAT I DON'T LIKE (besides customer service): a pocket to keep them. Could you include a bag of jets? - The wheels on the electric brush are very annoying on my tile floor, which is very annoying - Tineco offers a free product registration filter, but the shipping cost is not included (and it's expensive!) And of course Se, I hate the customer service experience for those looking for product support under the Tineco warranty. CONCLUSION: If you purchase this item, if you do not like ANYTHING about this product, return it to Revain immediately. After these 30 days, do not assume that you will receive product support from Tineco. I do not recommend this product.
