So I got one of the previous 1 star ratings because these candles kind of stopped working. First everyone worked, then one stopped, then another, and so on. BUT I actually understood WHY! ****You will need either VERY HIGHLY CHARGED batteries or BRAND NEW non-rechargeable batteries! It's bad that I complained to the company that the candles stopped working and they gave me a partial refund. Because when my husband checked each battery individually and found that as soon as we replaced the ones that weren't charging to that high number with new ones, the spark plugs worked again! It was a great discovery because it really is my favorite method. to illuminate the main bathroom, both for shower and bathtub. It's so gentle on the eyes and doesn't look natural when the room is lit by them. I recommend these if you have a tester for your batteries or if you plan to use them with regular batteries, prepare to change them probably every two months or so if you use them for half an hour every night .**** ********* UPDATE************ I have been using these battery operated candles as my only light source during my 15 minute evenings every night since July 2017. shower and they still work great! I have rechargeable batteries in them and they still work and look as nice as ever. Highly highly recommended and I will buy them again if they ever stop working :)
