Review on 🚰 CamelBak eddy+ BPA Free Water Bottle, True Blue, 32 Oz (1L) - Optimize Your Hydration by Redfish Rosenhoover

Not a fan of the new mouthpiece and cap design.

TL;NGR This new design is not my jam and will probably be the last bottle of Camelbak I will buy. I've been a regular Camelbak user for a long time, but I've started looking for an alternative to refillable bottles. I've been recommending Camelbak for years on the "I've got my bread" promise, but they've stopped covering up cap wear (possible leaking or cracked caps have always been a source of ruin for my bottles). I bought this bottle without realizing that the actual bite valve was redesigned. I find it very difficult to draw water with this new valve. Also, I think the silicone valve that goes all the way through the lid makes it difficult to clean. I have food allergies and cross contamination is terrible so I have to clean everything between soft and hard walls. I used to be able to remove the bite valve and air intake cover to wash separately, but I think it would be unwise to pull out the new internal silicone cap. The mouthpiece doesn't snap into place either, it just dangles like my old best bottles that have been dropped 300 times. I kept buying the best style of bottle when they switched to Eddy but it's very hard to find now. I'll try to be gentler on my old eyelids (maybe they only fall off once a day? Unlikely) so they last as long as possible.
