Review on August Smart Connect Satin Nickel by Tony Wilson

This is the August lock you can buy. old. A simple rotating bar makes the user experience ok for those who don't like changes. The August Connect module is a little fun. First I installed it about 2.5 feet from the lock, through a wall of plain wood studs and drywall. The connect module could not find the lock at all. Then I installed a huge metal washer and dryer 3ft behind it and it found the lock to be ok with a strong signal. I'm so confused, but still. Just note that the module can behave strangely. This thing works great when I get home and unlock the door, much better than the Gen1 and Gen2 devices. The auto-lock function also runs more smoothly and the door opening monitor works perfectly. I get notifications when a door is left open, when it finally closes, and when the lock is manually locked or unlocked (using a method other than the app or auto sequence). Best of all, he doesn't try to block the door. lock when the door is open. This was my biggest complaint about older devices and they fixed it perfectly. I cannot recommend this August lock enough (compared to others).
