I have had the Yoga 730 for a few days now. It comes with Windows 10 Home which I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro. If you choose to update through the Microsoft Store, the process can take as little as ten minutes provided you have downloaded all Windows updates prior to the OS update. It was a pleasant surprise. Since the laptop is a new model, there haven't been many updates for Windows. I got it done in about 30 minutes. The initial setup process is handled by Cortana and can be done primarily through voice commands (yes or no answers to most questions). This is to be expected from mass produced products. You can always uninstall apps, which I did. It comes with several online games installed, such as: B. Candy Crush. It also comes with a 30-day McAfee trial. It's annoying that every time you launch it, it wants to remind you that you only have 30 days to buy it. If there was a "remind me later" option, I could use it for a month to see if the program has improved since I last used it on a Windows XP machine (and hated it because it slowed me down). Computer). a lot of). I uninstalled and bought an advanced antivirus license that I used on my other computers. It also comes with a 30-day trial of MS Office. I already have a personal license covering 1 PC, 1 tablet and 1 mobile phone. For a 2-in-1 license, you can pose as a PC or tablet. Most of what I do with my computer is typing and using internet applications. For my purposes, the 730 is reasonably fast and fluid. In the past I've always preferred to use an external keyboard and mouse, but I find the keyboard on this machine workable. The keystroke is comfortable and reassuring, and it's quiet. The trackpad works well enough if you don't have room for an external mouse, e.g. B. in an airplane. However, the touchscreen is also a viable option, especially for scrolling documents. I've always thought the touchscreen was goofy for a laptop, but I've changed my mind. It's a bit heavy (to the point) for tablet use. But that's an option. If you switch to this configuration, the keyboard keys will be disabled. You can also use it in tent mode or with the screen like the product image, which is great for watching movies or using it as a tablet in a more vertical plane.
