The Velcro closure cinches tightly and stays in place with no slipping whatsoever on the top, middle or bottom. It can be positioned in increasingly tighter positions because the sides of Velcro don't have to meet up exactly, which makes this easy to close and re-adjust for a good fit. I lay down on my bed to put this on so gravity works with me to get a flat-tish abdomen. The velcro pieces are a really nice quality, by the way. They're nicer than the scratchy ones I can buy when I sew it onto items with my sewing machine at home.One of my concerns is that I not be able to see the point that the cincher joins and overlaps from under my shirts and. I can't. The join point also doesn't snag my clothes at all. Looks great.This was a really great buy for me!
