I have an iPad 2. It may not be designed for it. but everything I have seen and read says it can be used with this product. The magnet just isn't strong enough. If there is a bump, it starts to sink with the help of Mister Gravity. Little by little my wife has to put it back for our twins to see. And all this in direct contact with the magnet, without a back cover! I had to remove the back cover (the thinnest available) so that it directly touches the magnet on the iPad. Now hurt from the injury, the adhesive on the iPad just peeled off. The black adhesive patch on the back of the iPad's beautifully finished aluminum back is cute. So yes, the head mounting piece was solid, but that's only half the battle. I just bought another version of the same idea hoping it would be more reliable than this one.
