Review on Mavea 1001122 Replacement Filtration Pitcher by Carlos Phillips

I have been using this product for almost 10 years. Yes, even the same jug, just change the filter regularly. This has worked great for many years and I got clean, great tasting water without the carbon dust that comes from Brita. A few years ago it was becoming difficult to find filters and I heard they were ending the product. So I found 1 source and stocked up on filters for several years. Fast forward to last year and suddenly I saw these filters were available again. I was super happy! I have now tried at least 3 boxes of these latest filters from Revain and they are no longer the same. That last box was even worse. The water tastes awful like it doesn't filter any chemicals at all. And to make matters worse, coal dust continues to contaminate supposedly filtered water. In the end I just gave up on this product. If anyone knows what's going on I'd like to know why the sharp drop. And why it was discontinued and then restored.
