Review on Metallic Chocolate Filament Printing Materials by Scott Welch

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice ending! suitable for additive manufacturing products

Looks better than I thought! VERY good thread. Beautiful and high quality rolled up! Printed on nozzle 205 bed 60. Update: the start of each print goes very well with excellent adhesion. After that, however, everything goes wrong. I haven't been able to finish the print without clogging yet. I've tried the same part about 6 times and it clogs EVERY TIME! This is very frustrating. It gets to the point where I have to be seated at my printer so I can spot the blockage right away or it gets messed up. See photo! Update #2: I couldn't print a single layer without clogging and I had to constantly pull out the filament and cut the end of it. I noticed that only after tiny imprints of gaps he had to pull back into the same place of the thread several times. After a lot of experimentation, I found that the filament is quite brittle and will wear out quickly if it's run through the extruder gear more than twice. Maybe my last assessment was too harsh. I can finally stop the filament from clogging. I had to adjust the retraction to 1mm (on most others I can retract up to 6mm, especially with Volcano tips). It seems to be printing fine now. Maybe it was just my problem, but the latest print came out really well. I will post a photo once the print is done.
