Otherwise, I was told I would have to purchase and install a five-stage reverse osmosis filtration system that requires the filter to be replaced twice a year, which costs about $100 a year. It's actually cheaper to just buy bottled water and recycle the plastic. Very good customer service. FYI, reverse osmosis is the best way to get quality bottled water to drink at home. While I was confident that this filter would do just that, APEX helped me understand what TDS is and how unreliable it is in determining actual water quality. I recommend APEX to anyone looking for a quality filtration system and great customer service.
