Review on πŸ’₯ Segotep 600W 80 Plus Gold certified Gaming Power Supply PSU with Silent 120mm Fan by Cedric Ziebart

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great power supply, great brand.

This is my fourth Segotep power supply so far, 3750w and now this 1000w. So far I've only had good experiences with their devices. I've seen a few people claiming to have problems with PSUs, but if you look at PSUs from any brand, you'll find about the same percentage of people having problems with all of them. Anyway my 9 year old Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold finally broke after almost a decade of honest service and just recently installed 4 nice high end GPUs in my mining rig. This Segotep was already on the way for my personal PC (just upgraded to Suprim X 3080) but since my mining rig was broken I decided to throw it in there and order another Segotep 1Kw. In my 750W review, I wrote that Segotep has quickly become my go-to brand for high-end power supplies, and this setup is a testament to its capability. It currently runs Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 XT, Sapphire Pulse RX Vega 56, Gigabyte Gaming OC RX 6700 XT and Asus TUF RTX 3060. They are all in the MSI MEG X570 Unify with 5600x and 5 120mm fans. I've made adjustments so these cards draw much less power than normal for mining, but I have a power meter on the power cord to measure the exact power being drawn from the wall and I've had the system running continuously for a duration of up to 850 watts an hour or so, and this power supply won't skip a second, make any noise when the fan is running at full speed, or have any problems at all when it's outputting more than 80% of its rated power. These power supplies are well made and in almost 2 years of use I haven't encountered any problems with them yet. My 750W is currently powering an MSI Suprim X RTX 3080 on a MSI MEG X570 ace motherboard with 5900x, 7 120mm case fans (including 6 Corsair ql120 RBG), a 360mm RGB AIO cooler and 2 LED strips . The 3080 recommends at least an 850W PSU, so I think 759W is more than expected. As someone who has a side business in PC/mining rig builds and has used these personally, close friends/relatives and other customer builds and had no problems with them, I would highly recommend this brand.
