We had it >6 months. You get what you pay for here. I liked having a small bag for traveling. Speaking of the big pad: the string is fully tensioned. The handle is two pieces of plastic that fell apart and I had to glue them together with superglue. The filament came out of the pen as it literally passed between two pieces of plastic. We drilled a hole in the top of the handle to loop the rope through to better hold the handle together and keep it attached. I had to glue all the magnets to the plastic figures. They didn't even stop 5 minutes the way they came. So it's okay if you don't mind getting it treated and saving money. I'm not mad about it as it works now but I wouldn't buy it again.
