I knew I had a vacuum leak somewhere on my Hemi 5.7 on a 2005 Cherokee. This product was easy to fill with oil and hang from the hook provided. After removing the air filter, I plugged the inlet with the bottom of a plastic spray bottle. I routed the smoke through a vent line that directs the blow to the air filter housing. I hooked it up to the battery, it was smoking and pressurizing the system, and I found a bad (well, missing) o-ring on the oil filler cap. I'm trying not to think about where that big o-ring is in the motor right now. It wasn't a big leak, but it helped me find it. When I pull the dipstick out a bit, smoke comes out. The instructions are quite basic and the operation of the sensors on the front is not well explained. I didn't have to go to any of them for a simple vacuum leak test.
