But works as expected.

I had to crimp some hoses for my water pump. I received them and they did a good job. But they weren't big enough, all my fault, and about 75% of the hose was pinched. Needless to say I had to fill up my radiator. If the hoses were about 1 inch smaller they would be perfect. Please check the hose dimensions before purchasing. But if you buy you won't be disappointed.

Cheap option, might work

Designed for use on pinched brake lines (hoses) on my FLSTC to avoid bleeding lines after caliper rebuild. Nothing I did could get this thing to adequately clamp the line and I ended up snapping the first of the two devices. Gave up and found a mechanical shading solution that included short wooden dowels and locking pliers. Conclusion - Save your money.

Nice little tool, limited use

Works well with vacuum hose but not so well with armored fuel and water hoses. The problem is that it can't (conveniently) be hand tightened enough to clamp 3/8" reinforced tubing - you'll have to hold the clamp with channel locks, a vise or whatever, and the wing nut with some other pair of pliers tighten Better use a pliers hose clamp and use one tool instead of three My total is $0.02 Decent little tool just don't expect it to work well with a 3/8" fuel or water hose.

Reasonable quality at a good price

I mainly use this product for rubber fuel lines that I need to hold on for a long time. I find them better than nylon pliers as they put less stress on the hose due to the design. The product isn't as durable as we'd like, but the price makes up for it. I usually use it on small engines where fuel cut off is not always present. Thanks to their small size, they are easy to attach and do not interfere with your work. If I needed this product for everyday professional use I would probably look…

Wish I could find it years ago

I do a lot of work on my cars and recently I had the idea of carefully pinching the hoses to prevent fluid from leaking when not Connect them (yes, I'm late to the party). I've used a vise in the past and have looked for some sort of hose clamp pliers to no avail. I stumbled across these last week and bought them IMMEDIATELY and am so glad I did. I did some brake work last night which required removing the caliper. I took out my new hose clamp and attached it to the line. When I removed the…

Absolute plastic scrap

So cheap. Made of plastic, does not squeeze the brake lines as stated. Possibly suitable for small overhead lines such as PVC lines. With Herculean strength I was able to tighten them just enough to create enough grip in the lines for my tests. Unfortunately I couldn't unlock the mechanism because it was so bent on the inside. I unscrewed the wing nut to no avail. Tech support was good, but by the time I finally got a call back from tech support I had already figured out how to unlock it with…

Suitable for single use, poor quality instruments

Contrary to many of the answers above, they are primarily made of plastic. Only screws and wing nuts are metal, the body is just plastic. If it weren't for the misinformation in the answers above, I would have gone with one of the other metal ones. To tighten them, a wing nut is not enough - you must use pliers on the nut or pliers to squeeze the yoke while tightening. Tighten the wing nut by hand. In any case, plastic wears out a lot, which would not be so important with metal. After one use…

Excellent for brake lines

Worked great when I was replacing the brake calipers on my truck. The brakes still have to be bled, of course. The best way to bleed your brakes is with an empty water bottle and a small hose that fits into the brake bleeder. Drill a hole in the lid for the hose to go through and another very small hole next to it to let the air out. Unless you poke a small hole, pressurize the bottle and once you remove the hose from the outlet valve, squirt brake fluid all over the truck like I did. When you…
