Just got this gentleman as I have allergies and often have trouble breathing. I live in California so it's not very humid there. Dry air contributes to many of my problems so I was very happy to try this product. This would be a great product because it gives off a lot of mist, but unfortunately it smells like plastic. I admit, like many people buying a humidifier, I'm easily bothered by chemical smells. I washed it about 4 times and let it run continuously in another room for 24 hours. It still smells. I put a few drops of lavender oil in the water and it helped a lot. I hope that makes it useful because otherwise it's a pretty good car. I love that you can turn off the night light while still having the "on" light that is lit. The only thing I could mention is that it makes a little "boo-boo" sound when the water goes down. I'm a very light sleeper so this caught my eye. Most people would probably oversleep it. When I asked the Revain community about the smell, several people wrote and said they don't have this issue, so maybe I'm just super sensitive to chemical smells.
