I built a small patch panel in a closet in the middle of my house. I run 2 Cat-6 cables from the panel to all rooms. This allows me to run the shortest amount of cable and have a wired connection to any location. This setup offers the most stable connection to all my devices in the house. And I can upgrade to 10GBase-T in the future. This panel is made of durable material. The keystone mounting position is easily accessible. I use it with a Cable Matters keystone jack and it easily holds 24 cables. (Note that Cable Matters' keystone connector is wider than some other manufacturers.) And given the build quality and price point, this panel represents good value. Overall I am very happy with this panel. Here's what I'm using for the project.
