I tried a few other pillows before I found this one, and they all got returned because they didn't work. This is the only thing that allows me to sit without pain. I have had chronic SI joint/sacrum/sit bone/upper hamstring pain, and the holes on this cushion are perfectly aligned with the painful spots so I can finally sit comfortably. It works perfectly in the car where the seat has a slight bowl to it (not quite a bucket seat) and allows extra room in the tailbone area (although it makes me almost as tall as the roof of the car). But I had to make a minor adjustment to use it on a flat kitchen chair since it works better for me in a slight U or V shape to allow more room for the tailbone. I just unzipped the cover and added 1/2 of a pool noodle to each side of the bottom of the cushion. When the foam noodles get compressed, I'll just add new ones. This cushion has been a lifesaver! I just ordered another one to leave in the car.
