Type of review

I'm a speedball fan but they need to revamp the emulsion line. The container is horrible for storing emulsion and it drips everywhere. I've had ups and downs on getting exposure times locked in. I may be moving on to a more expensive brand

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • It requires specialized equipment, such as a light box, to properly expose screens and achieve accurate prints

Soft emulsion - my new review

I have put my screens on different times frames (12hrs, 2, 3 days) and it still soft. When i go to wash the design, everything comes off

Pros
  • Love the product
Cons
  • Sadly this came open I've ordered from here twice one was fine the second one was just bad.

DON'T BUY CHEAP EMULSION

I can't stress this enough. This emulsion wasted my money, time. With other emulsion you can reveal the design just with the water faucet. With this, you'll need a pressure washer and can easily ruin it if you run it too strong. To clean it, smh, I had to put it on bleach multiple times. This emulsion is more than horrible.

Pros
  • Works really well and the bottle is big enough for a lot of screen printing. Couldn't be happier
Cons
  • Not good to much work to mix and prepare

Dont unless you have sensitizer

Description says 1 Emulsion . so im expecting the emulsion and sensitzer because that is what makes the Emulsion. Whats the point of selling Emulsion without the Activation. there really is not point but a waste of TIME

Pros
  • USE WITH ANY WATER-BASED OR SOLVENT-BASE SCREEN PRINTING INK - For use with polyester screen fabrics, Speedball’s Diazo Photo Emulsion & Sensitizer may be used with any water-based or solvent-based ink
Cons
  • It can be time-consuming and labor-intensive to coat and expose screens with the emulsion, making it less practical for large-scale printing projects

I'm a Prop and Costume replicator / fabricator and a lot of the newer superhero costumes have screen prints on them. I blew threw $200 in Emulsion from companies like ScreenPrinting(.)com, and a good bit was from shipping. Not only did I waste money, I wasted hours and hours. Speedball's Emulsion is fantastic! My screens come out just they way they should. My only gripe is we have to order Diazo separately. They need to take that off as part of the item's description. "Speedball Diazo Photo

Pros
  • Never better!
Cons
  • It takes a long time to dry, which can be frustrating for those who want to complete a project quickly

Does not come with sensitizer

Hey, I haven't used it yet, but all I got to say is I assumed it came with the sensitizer, because most of the other emulsions I looked at did. So, if you're thinking about buying this, make sure you get the sensitizer, too. You can't use it without that. Other than that, it came on time and appears to be all good.

Pros
  • Screen Printing
Cons
  • The emulsion may not be appropriate for use in certain climates or environments, depending on temperature and humidity levels
