Good alternator - bad packaging

This replacement is identical to the original. At the moment the generator has been installed for about a month. Everything seems to be working fine. The only drawback are the plastic bearing caps. They arrived brittle and cracked, so they are probed before installation. I'm not sure how important they are, but I suspect they help keep dust and dirt out for longer life.
