This plug and play camera offers superb crisp quality. During the pandemic, my wife and I used it for video conferencing and even online learning. We've never had any issues with connectivity or quality etc. We've found the camera always captures sharp images at a consistent frame rate. Searching through different cameras I found a very similar 60 fps camera and while looking at it I settled on 30 fps. After all, no one but the quickest eye will notice the difference. One of the main reasons you might consider this camera is the external shutter for privacy. It slides well and I'm not afraid of breaking it. I believe there is internal software that ensures there is virtually no input to the computer when the shutter is closed. I can't really prove it, but I left the shutter closed multiple times when trying to join a video conference, but the system platform told me I couldn't join due to lack of input. However, during the call, I was able to close the clasp at will on the platform without any issues. Maybe it's an accident, or maybe the camera really cares about your privacy that much. Since it has a built-in microphone (which I don't use), your privacy not only expands visually but also audibly, right? As I said, I don't need an internal microphone for this camera, so unfortunately I can't give you an overview. All in all, a crisp, clear, and comfortable camera is well worth the time and money spent taking laptop conferencing to the next level.
