It's quite big. Got this for our 8 month old daughter and there is plenty of room for her. We have balls and keys there and she likes to sit there. Our children 4, 7 and 11 years old like to go there with the child and play with him. So I'm happy with this purchase. There's no padding underneath, so either place it on top of the floor foam or on top of the carpet like we did.
