I was looking for a table lamp that would illuminate the keyboard and the surrounding area. This light is great for that. There are multiple brightness and hue settings depending on the ambient light. Only note: the cable from the lamp to the switch could be made longer. In my configuration, the cable isn't long enough so the switch hangs about 3 inches above the table instead of resting on the table.
