My blade was .218 or 7/32" not the advertised 1/4" maybe close enough for most jobs but I wish it was me anyway it was a full .250. I bought this to make base plates for my Dewalt laminate cutter with the same mounting geometry as the original factory plate but in different shapes and sizes. The original is full size .250. "" is thick and attaches to the router with pan head screws that mount flush to the plate in oversized 1/8" deep holes that allow for easy centering adjustment. This leaves a full 1/8" of material under the screw head. To hold the plate with 1/32" less material, I didn't want to countersink that deep. I ended up dividing the difference and turning off 1/64" of the machine screw heads. Will it be strong enough? Time will tell. But is it perfect? No. The material itself is well made, no cracks even using a 1 /2 "Forstner drills. The edges I sawed with tape were easily trimmed with a piece of 220-gauge paper. I'm assuming it's the same material, same size, can be bought from Rockler 1.5 times more expensive, but I'm wondering if it's a full shift.
