Review on ACDelco GM Original Equipment 15-72972 Temperature Valve Actuator: Reliable Control for Optimal Temperature Regulation by Nicholas Lim

My 99 Park Ave has had the driver's side vent temp at full temperature since January spring arrived and I finally had to do something about it. I replaced the temporary door actuator and. still stuck hot. got me frustrated but I did some more research which led me to the following. After turning the key off, I unplugged the A/C/heater programming module (it's located behind the glove box with a couple of large wiring harness connectors attached to it, accessible by lowering the black panel under the glove box) and switched it on for from a long time. a few minutes. With the key removed, I reconnected both plugs and then turned on the key for 3 minutes without starting the engine. This process clears all codes that were stored in the module and allows it to pass the door position learn test which activated the operator correctly and now my dual zone climate control is working properly again! Too bad I didn't know about the relearn procedure before starting, maybe it would have saved me the cost of the ride. but for some reason it stopped working properly and maybe my purchase was only delayed a few days before it failed again. I am very happy with how my system is working now!
