When I first purchased the C920, I was dissatisfied with the excessively buggy software, the drivers were installed incorrectly, and Skype turned out to be an outdated version, which resulted in a terrible picture of the person on the other end of the wire. However, after some time with the device, I was able to resolve these issues. 1) The C920's fastening system is noticeably more considerate and dependable than the one found on the earlier model. 2) The autofocus on the C920 works smarter with it, and while it may twist a little bit at times, it always returns to its original position, and then everything is perfect. 3) While there is adequate lighting, the picture quality is comparable to one another; but, as soon as the lights are turned off or the curtains are drawn, you will notice a significant difference. 4) Driver: This camera still uses the same faulty collection of software and drivers 5) Image noise in the C920 is less evident while shooting in low light conditions 6) The microphone is not terrible; even a whisper can be picked up by it; during the Skype test, I was informed that the sound quality is superior to that of the Plantronics GameCom 777 gaming headset (to be honest, I doubt it, I will still check) Even though it has a smaller sensor (for some reason, everyone insists that it is smaller, but I have no idea how much smaller it actually is), I've come to the realization that the Canon PowerShot C920 is still in the process of being perfected. The camera functions very well once the appropriate drivers have been installed (although it may be preferable to not install any drivers at all and instead let the operating system use its own). Freezes are an indication that the drivers were installed incorrectly. PS: If you decide to purchase a webcam at a store, keep in mind that it is possible that you will not be able to return this type of goods, and that at best the retailer will offer to let you replace it for another camera. Also, they are not examined before being put up for sale; therefore, it is best to look at places where there are exhibition samples.
