We have owned this for over 2 years. We love it because they fit my 3 year old and 6 year old. Now they are 5 and 8 years old. You still use it. It is made of 100% natural wood. Durable and without sharp edges. Ours came with a dent. =( That's life! Probably the shipping companies! That's why I deducted 1 star in the rating. The finishes aren't outstanding, but very good for a kid's table. (I like French polished furniture, but that's $500+) would need one be a good scrape to destroy it (little kids, not you).The color is a deep dark stain with a clear finish.It took about 30 minutes to assemble with two people.I can sit on the chair and use it because it really suits me my boys will enjoy this set when they are at least 4 years old safe to say this is a sound investment as it will suit a child from 2 to 12 years old it has a good table height legs but not too high take care of this and it will last less than 3 years and it will probably last 4-6 years for screws falling out: use blue loctite (green loctite is too weak, a red is too strong). I work as a quality inspector for a fitness equipment manufacturer. We always use Loctite. Sometimes when the bolt and nut are too loose we add thread sealant (dry first) and then Loctite.
