This is a perfect beginner's board for sure.In the realm of skating, I own an Elements pro deck along with 3 Penny boards.The build and quality of this deck are on par to the Penny boards, but at a fraction of the cost, of course.However, you are simply giving up on the quality and durability of the wheels and bearings.If you want more speed, I HIGHLY recommend switching out these bearings and getting some premium sets.

The wheels are fine as is and are actually cool to skate around at night!
