I've started using BatteryMinder on my SLI flood batteries in cars I keep here in Arizona and am very happy with their performance. Before that I had trouble charging my boat batteries (dual battery system) from another brand which caused the electrolyte in my batteries to boil off. Finally got tired and switched to a Minder AGM battery. Since the upgrade, my suspension hydraulics are much faster, my stereo runs on ONE battery most of the day, and they're perfectly charged for any trip to Lake Havasu or even one of the local lakes. I also recently switched my 4Runner to an AGM battery and it's rarely used so this charger keeps it in tip-top shape. I think he has a faulty charger. No product is perfect and you should do your due diligence. You don't want to charge a general meeting, especially in HEAT! This will kill the battery in no time. So temperature compensation.
