I recently purchased a padlock, pin lock and receiver lock from Bolt and as soon as I received them I put my truck key in the locks. The locks "learned" my key quickly and easily. I wanted to see what others were saying about the locks that unlock with other GM keys, so I went to my dad's house where he has a one model year newer truck and found that his key worked both the receiver lock and the padlock opened! I like this idea, but in all practical matters it's useless to prevent your belongings from being stolen. The key will NOT unlock it. My father has had his castle for several years. I thought I just had a bad lock, but after my dad's key opened both the receiver lock and the padlock (I didn't check the hitch lock), I'm starting to think there's another underlying problem.
