The back of the strip is very shiny and slippery, the tape doesn't hold and stretches when trying to remove the backing paper. Remove tape when you want the strip to lay flat. The rubber strip seems strong and functional, but without good tape or glue this thing won't hold securely to the car. I've seen the first wash just destroy the tape. I removed the bad tape and it came off as if it had never been taped, there was no long term adhesion. I am back. Strip is good but scotch is bullshit. Installation failed.
