I was watching a video tutorial by Hazel & Ruby on how to use these letters. I followed exactly the same style of acrylic paint, wood, sponge applicator and baby wipes. However, my paint continued to seep under the edges of my letters. I tried various techniques including preparing the surface with Modge Podge, removing the letters while the paint was still wet, removing the letters after the paint had dried, and gently pressing the letters onto the surface, but each Painted under the letters. They also didn't clean up as easily as the textbook makes it out to be. I erased the paint immediately, but the stencils remained stained forever. I ended up taking a small brush and hand-painting each letter. The final product looks good, but it took a little more time and patience than I expected. I also accidentally ripped up one of my emails trying to unlink it from my project. The letters I use the most are already losing their stickiness and flexibility, and I've only done two projects so far. I like the idea with stencils but I think they can only be used in a few projects. Too expensive for something that doesn't last long.
