A good nozzle with a very interesting profile will give you a clean cut in clean pine. I have not used it with other species. You do need to make gradual cuts though - I made about 4, the last one being just a 1/32" shave - and I was very careful with the settings of my router table and pen board. Also, I let it cool down. 4 minutes or so after each piece is cut.
