You can't even set the time on it unless you give the company crazy access to your phone - photos, location, media and all files. Why is all this only needed to show steps and tell the exact time? When you have NOTHING of value (bank access, contact list, email) that you use your synced phone for, it's scary. I don't usually care too much about privacy, but this makes it TOO easy for scammers out there - and the fact that they make it 100% useless unless full access is allowed is a red flag to users .
