This camera is advertised for children. I had an almost identical previous small HP camera which was easy to work with, great menu, set date and time, video or photo, zoom, etc. DAS does it all, but the buttons are really unintuitive, the menu is terrible and there are too many little icons on the screen that should tell you what you've selected! (Flash on/off, resolution, "face detection"?, smile capture?, self-timer, scene mode? exposure, white balance?, sharpness?) It's going crazy with symbols that you need a guide to decipher! It has a video mode. , photo mode and even audio recording mode. Who would use audio on a camera when almost every damn cell phone makes the same thing so much easier? The instruction manual is ok, but there are too many complications. Even today's smart nerds won't like that.
