I've done a few screen replacements on other devices, but this was my first attempt on an iPad. My first bypass, the touchscreen didn't work. At first I thought it was a faulty digitizer, but I decided to try again. The second time it worked great! Now I've removed the home button and reused the original so it doesn't stay as it should. I suspect it would be much more stable if I left the activated button in place.
