After our dog took a direct hit in the face with Adult Skunk Spray at 10:15am, we immediately googled what to do to get rid of the smell. Actually, I *want* to do that. The first thing we did was bring the puppy inside and my wife put him in the tub while I googled what to do to get the smell out. Oops. The first thing they tell you is to leave your dog outside so the smell doesn't leave your house. Secondly, in no case do not get the dog wet - this will only increase the stench. By the way, do you know what fresh skunk spray smells like? It's not what you feel on the street where someone's been killed. This is a more subdued version of what premium spray smells like. It's like burning diesel fuel. But this product did not do the job I bought it for. You should apply it to your dog's coat after it has dried, then leave it on for a short time and then wash it off. It smelled like it was working after I applied it to her fur, but after I applied water that smell just came back and lingered. Once I treated her with this product. Twice. 3 times. I used all the liquid but it never made the nausea go away appreciably. I would not buy this product again.
