In summary, the purchase has met and even beyond my expectations. I was concerned that there would be less polyphony than in popular casio with yamaha, but the sound is really nice after using my dendeka toy synthesizer for 4k). The keys are not hammer-like, but they are pressed harder than on a synthesizer. I am not a trained musician, nor have I taken any courses related to music in school. Amateur with no formal training. After giving it a lot of thought, I debated whether or not it would be worthwhile to spend more for the identical Casio CDP or Yamaha p45; in the end, I chose this one and do not feel that I made a mistake. It's possible that I'll alter it in the future, but for the time being, this is good enough.
