Exactly what I needed. I think I have a better version than the one pictured online and that's ok. The Best Buy guys tried to sell me a $150 amp that I didn't need at all. All I needed was to hook up my new turntable (audio-technica LP2X) and my 30 year old speakers with volume controls. I didn't want to share the speaker wire, so I connected this receiver/amp to a Rockford Fosgate RFIF2SW Speaker Line to Female RCA Adapter (also on Amazon). The volume button is VERY sensitive. As other reviews have said, make sure the volume is set to 0 before plugging it in and turning it on every time. There is no feedback or unwanted noise.
