I've used many different types of wearables in over 40 years running ultramarathons, from homemade velcro and tape to commercial ones. necessary, just let the bottle rest in your hand. The flat, curved shape follows the natural contour of the hand, and because it's short and square rather than cylindrical, it sloshes less. The mouthpiece is tilted so less tilt is required when drinking. 20 ounces of liquid instead of a few ounces in the bottle like the others. Someone really did their homework here.
