As the reviews have noted, the products are mixed (one pair is good, one is ok). Cook them a lot to kill whatever might be on them, reduce the tannins and help them drown (I cooked them for 2 days). And rub hard. Mine were very dirty but the water helped loosen them. As someone else said, one of my pieces barely has a dent in the middle or any holes on the side. and the other one is really too big for shrimp but also small enough that I'm concerned if they are put in a smaller or medium sized tank or tank with larger species of shrimp they might be dumb enough to get stuck in there and possibly too die. At the moment I just keep them in a quarantine tank at my facility just to make sure no nasty stuff comes out. I'm sure they will finish my cherry shrimp.
