The notch in this product creates a weak point that allows it to break when screwed in. Solution: Thread a socket head (or similar) screw with the correct thread pitch (6-32 in this case) into this socket and use this combination to screw it into the device that requires the socket, remove the screw and You're done. I put mine in nylon, not a strong material so inserts were needed. Works great now.
