Review on ⌚ Casio Mens Edifice EF527D-1AV Stainless Steel Multi-Function Watch by Jess Chen

As a collector with watches from Swatch, Citizens (mid-range), Seiko models, from Seiko 5 entry-level models to several Prospex, Presages and a GS, several Orient and of course three Timex models, I have to know about the price - Laugh for money of many Casio watches. I only have six of these with this purchase and they really fit the basics. The bracelet matches the quality of some Seiko models that cost three times as much. Yes, it's a little flimsy and light, putting the watch on or off it creates a song of its own, but at this price point overall it's a very well made bracelet and aesthetically pleasing to be sure. The Oyster bracelet (with a touch of technical center links) with its combination of brushed and polished edges is very eye-catching, as is the watch in general. And setting up links is easy. No pin and collar system, just friction pins. As mentioned, the watch looks MUCH more expensive than it is and is the perfect weight too. The case design is definitely unique between the lugs. The polished and brushed edge accentuates the bezel and dial. There is something unique about this watch out of the forty five that I have in my collection. A small detail, but one that made me smile. The lumen is not outstandingly bright, but it is sufficient and lasts a decent time. It's a beautiful turquoise blue. Similar to some of my Citizens although not as bright. Water resistant to 100 meters and I would be sure of that with a screw down watch crown. Another feature not always found on watches that cost a lot more. Suitable for swimming, of course, but DO NOT press the buttons underwater. I will also NEVER shower with ANY of my watches, regardless of their rating. Hot water in the shower (or prolonged exposure to hot water) and cooler air in the watch are not a good combination. Throwing hours is pointless anyway. They are designed for sea and pool water. I'm not sure what processes Casio uses to sell watches at the prices they offer, but I'm glad I was able to take advantage of them. How many others. This watch can easily sell for $150 more than I paid and well worth it. Very happy with this purchase!
