Review on 🔥 Polder Safe Serve Instant Read Thermometer with Torch in Red by Lori Ortman

Very handy with a long probe so you don't get your hands too close to the grill's heat. But the device can't be used when the function that beeps at a set temperature is off, so you'll often hear an annoying beep when you're using it anyway. This seems very accurate and works as advertised; I just think it could be designed better. I've set the fowl setting to make less noise (as this will keep it from making noise until it hits 185 degrees I think) but the way the buttons are set up is very simple, this one Accidentally changing the setting, which happens to me almost every time. Also, there is a locking button that you have to press to open the probe, which seems completely useless as I don't see any benefit in locking it and it makes it harder to open. It works well - I would give it 5 stars if it were redesigned to fix what I think are shortcomings. I was actually going to give it 3-1/2 stars, but there aren't.
