Review on ๐ŸŽถ ION Audio Photon LP: Lighted Turntable with Multi-Color LEDs, USB Conversion, Diamond-Tipped Stylus - 3-Speed Option by Jared Winebrenner

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A simple, somewhat useless turntable - not for music lovers, but maybe entertaining in college.

A word of caution - I'm not a music lover but I love my music and have studied the violin for too many years so I have at least moderate hearing. Turntable if you just want to play some records casually or maybe at a dorm party. It has some handy features if you just want to play some tunes at a party, transfer a less-than-amazing quality version to your computer, or listen to it for fun if you can take the light. means NOT using the phono input; You can use regular RCA inputs for your speakers. It's nice that it has a USB output and the software for creating audio files is pretty easy to use, but (see below) the audio quality probably won't appeal to an audiophile. - This is an easy and quick setup with the features listed above. It would probably be a decent choice for a high school or college student who isn't a musician or music lover. Imminent confiscation? - The sound quality is simply incomparable with my father's old high-end or not-so-fashionable players. It's a little tinny and noisy, and it shows when you're creating a digital file. If I go to the trouble of converting my recordings to digital files, I need to invest in better equipment because I would be crazy to "save" my recordings that way. .
