I purchased this to interface an old HP1200 printer to a new DELL 8900 PC.Interesting. it worked ok when the PC was running (when I plugged it in) HOWEVER when I shut down and try to restart the DELL. the DELL would not power up at all. A blinking orange light instead of the white power light.I discovered that the DELL 8900 did not recognize this adapter as "VALID" so it did not pass the "POST" test. the test that PC's do when they boot up and check all the attached devices, etc.See full review

I don't know why I didn't buy these before. This is SO much easier to use than the absorbent dish drying mats - which I have to wash every few days. Being silicone, the ridges keep the water off my counters and I can easily pick it up and drain it into the sink. It's easy to wash with soap and I let is hand dry over the divider between my 2 sinks.
