Did not work with DELL 8900 PC.
I purchased this to interface an old HP1200 printer to a new DELL 8900 PC.Interesting. it worked ok when the PC was running (when I plugged it in) HOWEVER when I shut down and try to restart the DELL. the DELL would not power up at all. A blinking orange light instead of the white power light.I discovered that the DELL 8900 did not recognize this adapter as "VALID" so it did not pass the "POST" test. the test that PC's do when they boot up and check all the attached devices, etc.

- The cable may not be universally recognized by all printing software
